MIDDLEBANK II 's  fishing season begins in April and continues until December.  During this time, the Long Island Sound will  host  an abundant mix of the North East's  in-shore game fish.

Fluke, or summer flounder, trips begin in May and run into August. These fish aren't only a favorite among anglers  to catch, but delicious to eat.

 

 

 

 

June through October spell bluefish. These 5 to 20 pound fighters test the most experienced fisherman's skills & leave the novice awestruck. 

 During peak season "total limit outs' can be landed during a four-hour trip!

 

 

 

Porgy/scup & sea bass school up tight late summer and trough fall. This gives anglers plenty of opportunity to catch "buckets" of the tasty fish.

 

 

 

 

Although the  Long Island Sound has striped bass all year, mid April through late June gives anglers the best chance to land a trophy bass.  

The fall run starts in October and lasts through December, this time of year gives anglers great action on jigs.

 

 

 

Preferring cooler water temps, the black fish is perfect for fishermen who want to extend the fishing season.

 

 

 

The captain and crew of MIDDLEBANK II ask all anglers to practice responsible fishing methods and stress the importance of conservation. Although anglers aboard MIDDLEBANK II will be informed of the latest regulations concerning the targeted species, it is the anglers obligation to know and abide by all  marine fisheries laws. Fish caught aboard the MIDDLEBANK II belong to the angler. Fish deemed undersized or out of season must be released. To ensure the freshness of your catch, ice is available for purchase and personal coolers are welcome. However, coolers or other containers over 24" in length (72 Quarts) are not permitted. For a reasonable price, the crew will be happy to clean your catch.  By taking advantage of this service, it will ensure that your catch is handled properly resulting in the freshest, best possible fish for your table.
